When I was having my first child my mom said that she wanted to be called Granny. She was in her early 40’s and thought it would be great to be a “Granny.” Unfortunately Kayla could never say Granny. Granny became Hannie and Hannie stuck! Now all her grandchildren call her that and others refer to her in that way also. It’s such a special name!
We live about 2 1/2 hours from my parents now and it’s great to get to see them more often. A bonus is that a lot of my family live around there, including my grandparents just 2 doors down from my parents. I feel so blessed that we get to be close and that my children are getting to know their cousins and other extended family even better.

She is so sweet to them and listens to all their chatter and plays endless games with them. We were all so sad to see her go. Thankfully we’ll see her again next weekend. 🙂
